1991 ws6 trans am 305 tpi to carb swap Help ?
I recently got my first third gen, a 1991 WS6 Trans am, and she has a tpi 305. I'm 17 and in auto classes, and I'm not a new school kinda guy. I want to throw a carburetor on there. But I'm not sure what all id have to do ?
I know I'd have to buy a new intake manifold and carburetor, and do something with the wiring harness and fuel lines.
If someone could walk me through this it would be greatly appreciated😊 please help !?

I'm not really wanting to do a cam swap and get too far into the motor. Just wanting to do minor work. Swap the intake and carburetor, I was hoping to stay away from getting too far into the engine.

Why? Is the tpi not running well? The car will be worth a lot more down the road left as original as possible, At least tpi-wise. If it is running good keep the tpi and use the money you would have spent on an intake and carb on other improvements like headers or exhaust.

Save your money for headers and exhaust leave the TPI if that is the case.

It'll be alot of time and money and you wont gain anything. It'll be less power, worse fuel economy, and wont run as smooth. Not to mention devalue the car.

And tuned ports just look bad *** when you open the hood. Best looking intake system ever made
