Fitting for oil pressure sender - but how is this part called?
Hi guys,
at the moment, I am "lost in translation"... I am searching for the "official name" of the attached part. I absolutely know the spirit and purpose of this part, but not the english term to identify it...
I need a new one because I broke it, but I need another variation with two female ports for an 1987 LG4. I need to mount an oil pressure switch and an oil pressure sender and wanted to order from Summit. I would highly appreciate if someone could help me out with a term or a part number...
Best regards and thanks a lot!
Marcel

Iirc the oil pressure t on a sbc is 1/8npt.
You could use a spraight 1/8 npt piece with a female to female and something like this.

On this side of the pnd, we get things like that at the hardware store.
All of that stuff is 1/8" pipe thread (NPT).
Here, we would probably buy a 2" or 3" nipple (the tall part), then a "T" fitting to get the 2 female ports.
Not sure if Summit has that or not; never even occurred to me to buy it that way; it would be, altogether, around $4 at Home Depot or Lowe's down the street. If you have a hardware store or the like that sells Imperial sized (inches) plumbing parts, that's the place to go.

Guys,
thanks lot! You both really helped me out!
I will try to get a couple of fittings in the hardware store... I don't know if they have Imperial sized items, but I will find out!
Best regards,
Marcel
