I thought some of you would find this helpful...

It is the Convertible Enhancements - Noise, seat belt trim, operating and leak issues Service Bulletin.

It applies to all ASC convertibles.

NOTE: the figures on page 8 are now included in the file...

Thanks John! I do have an issue with the solenoid releasing on the left side. In the spring i will have to look into doing the fix that is refered to in the bulletin.

Thanks for the information. There is another way to eliminate the rattles and noises from our tops though - PUT THEM DOWN! Its the only way to drive these cars.

might be random, but my passenger seat squeaks when no one is in it

Hey anybody know where I can get a new switch for the lid release ? Mine still works but the black plastic prongs that hold it in place have somehow broke off causing the switch to dangle by the wires--sucks. Thanks !

You can use a hatch release switch - exactly the same except for the image on it... I've got a brand new one if you are interested...

i was at the local pic n pull and up pops this 91 camaro conv this car had these tube steel originally gold cad trailing arms they had a seat belt type fabric about 10 inches long and bolted to the inner well so when the car is airborn or just lifted up yhe rear end does not drop . this car also had a tubular panhard bar. oh btw it was installed with rtw bolts like factory stuff. i bagged this stuff. i have an 89 iroc conv. just supposing that maybe it was an updated asc conversion stuff never seen anything like it.any thoughts

AFAIK ASC did not update any of the suspension... it sounds like an aftermarket change to me... I know that they use things like that on race cars so that when they pit and jack it up the car they can access the tires faster... The straps specifically is what I am referring to...

absolutely! try to explain that at 90 the rain doesn't even come into the car!!! 92 Form. Conv. Love it! By any chance do you know where to get the plastic piece that goes handle to handle???

I have an 89 Iroc convertible, just changed the top and I am having trouble with the rear latch locking. Any help on working this out.
