1992 Heritage Z28 Convertibles w/5 speeds
I was just looking for pics, information and fellow owners. Let me know if you have one... any color/stripe combo. I was especially interested in seeing if there are any black with red heritage stripes and 5 speeds out there. I'm thinking of buying one that has become available as I've never seen another. Thanks!

You probably won't see another one because the total production of 5spd convertibles '92's is something like 200.

Anyways Nick is right you won't likely see another Z03 Z28 vert 5spd...

Re: 1992 Heritage Z28 Convertibles w/5 speeds
I've read that '92 Z28 convertible production was 1254 but am not sure of the automatic and manual numbers from that. Plus I've never seen a breakdown on heritage and non heritage. Both of you are most likely in the ballpark but it would be nice to know for sure.
The car I'm looking at is a third owner, 55,000 kms (34,500 miles) loaded and immaculate! Still has the original tires although they're cracked from weather and age.

Are they asking a good price for it (from a buyer's perspective)?

I have a red with black stripes Z28 Z03 Convertible Five Speed.
Not sure about the total out there, but I found this in the History section.

I do not have any Definite numbers, all I have is about 90%, so i have not added them
There were at LEAST
6,606 Z03 Camaros (hard top/T-top) of those...
20 - Z28/LB9/MM5 (Hardtop W/O G92)
49 - Z28/LB9/MM5,CC1
51 - Z28/Lb9/A4 (W/O T-tops)
100 - Z28/LB9/MM5/G92 (No T-tops)
264 - Z28 LB9/A4/CC1
571 - Z28/L98 (all had G92) (Not T-tops)
1,263 - RS/V6
4,288 - RS/L03
538 Z03 Camaro Convertibles
5 - RS/V6/MM5
13 - RS/V6/MX0
34 - RS/L03/MM5
58 - Z28/LB9/MM5
208 - Z28/LB9/MX0 (A4)
220 - RS/L03/MX0
There were 70008 Camaros made in 1992, where I got the numbers only has 3465 Convertibles and 59850 Hard tops/T-top cars, Therefore there are 6693 cars missing from the database for 1992, only 1990 is it complete in the database... The numbers are as close as we can get, But since its not complete, I did not feel that it was as accurate as it should be...

Re: 1992 Heritage Z28 Convertibles w/5 speeds
I think it's reasonable. I've always liked the third gens so am always looking at prices. With this one being fairly rare and so original with lower miles and documentation from new I don't mind spending the money. The current owner got an expert appraisal done a few years ago and is asking just a little more than half the appraised value. The only catch is I have to get it shipped almost all the way across Canada so that'll add to the cost.

Man that's a disappointment. I'd always hoped one day I might find me a z28 5 speed convertible- preferably with red leather

I wouldn't mind seeing some pics! Do you know much about its history? Have you had it long? Any issues? Let me know. Thanks!

Re: 1992 Heritage Z28 Convertibles w/5 speeds
I hope you ended up buying it. If you did you need to post some pics man. I'm interested to see it.
I'd also be interested in what type of pricing it was going for. I'm getting ready to sell mine and as you have seen the market is pretty thin for Z03 Convertibles, for me to find a gauge on market pricing. You can PM me this if you don't mind... thanks

Here are some pics that were taken last summer. The only change from stock is some "25th Anniversary" script the first lady owner added to the doors.

Wow your car is almost an identical twin to my car... except the 5 spd. I would really be interested in seeing more pics of your car. I have yet to see another black/red vert with the grey interior. Don't know why I didn't see this earlier, but those pics made my day. My car is in being painted right now, so kinda pumped to have it out looking as good as yours is.
Thanks for posting those

You'll have to post pics when your car is back from paint! These are the only two Z03 verts I've seen with this combo as well. I'd like to eventually get a red w/black Z03 for my wife.

Some more pics... these were taken last summer. I'll take some more once I finish paying for the car and get it home. I'm looking forward to getting it in my yard to start cleaning & detailing. I think I'll almost enjoy that as much as driving it!

Re: 1992 Heritage Z28 Convertibles w/5 speeds
I found a t-top black/red heritage locally, that I thought would be cool for my wife, but then remembered I'm planning on selling my car when its complete, so if you want a twin with an auto for your wife let me know
I'm still pump to pics of another one with the grey interior combo... NEVER seen another in all my internet searches.

Your car looks very nice. Looks like your in the same boat as me looking for OE floor mats. I hope you can get it home soon. The weather is about perfect for top down cruising. I can't wait to get mine home too. I will post a ton of pics when I get it back and all the new emblems and such on.
