I have a '90 IROC convertible (or else I wouldn't be on this thread) with the bright red interior. Currently, the truck carpet is black, is that the stock color for the carpet and did they all come this way? Im redoing the interior and need to decide which truck carpet color to order.

Do you have the red interior trim panels in the rear or Black panels?

What I know about the convertible trunks
1) The early cars that were dealer ordered would have the same color as the front

2) The 91-92 were for sure all Black, especially when they had the cloth sides

I am not sure about the plastic trim pieces, I know they were cut down coupe pieces, but they could have been black from the get-go. If it was me I would match the plastic trim pieces if you have them.

But to whether or not the carpets were black I am not sure.

I have black plastic panels in the trunk area, and black "rug" material cut and glued where the convertible conversion was done. Seems like the black rug for the "hump" and trunk was black. Its rather a blotch on an otherwise bright red interior with the seats folded down.

If you have Black side panels, then you would have had Black Carpet.

Were the plastic side panels in the rear Black or Red?

Then you need Black carpet.

I have Beachwood front carpet and panels and the rear was black also but a made the same color rear panels as the front and when I got new carpet it was all one color looks cleaner that way ,its your car

Bright red interior, black carpet in trunk, soft trunk sides, non power pull down.

I have a set of carmine red locking vert interior trunk panels for sale. Not sure what they actually came out of though.
