1992 z03 vert engine rebuild
Hey guys, looking for a little input or advice. I'm at the point where my 92 RS Heritage vert needs an engine rebuild. It's got a 305 TBI, but I'm considering a transplant with an rebuilt LT1 with a matching T56 tranny. Bought it for a good price, had it in storage for a while now. Just debating if I should keep the original motor and tranny (auto). Not sure this would devalue my car. It's an RS not a Z28 but read on another thread my black with red vert was not very common color combo in RS models, rarest of all colors actually. Any input would be appreciated as I plan on starting on this project by late May. Thanks in advance.

If the 305 is ready to go, I would not hesitate to put in the LT1. I'm all for originality but a nicely done engine swap to enhance performance is the way to go if your car is not show car quality with low miles.
