replacement dual fans
What would be a direct replacement aftermarket dual fans for my 92Z28? The mounting brackets for the fan broke so need to replace it with a better fan out there.

Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 3.23
Well I eventually went to a permacool setup. It has 2 11" electric fans on the backside. I used double or triple plastic ties to strap them to the old mounting bracing (didn't want to mess with radiator ties since I have AC condensor to push through also). I seen a good deal of improvement going to the setup.
If you're looking just for a OEM cheap replacement though you might try on ebay. I've seen dual fans and brackets go for around 30 + shipping.

thanks for the info, i'm not looking for a cheap replacement fan, I want something that will cool the car down better in traffic.

I hate to make a blanket statement, because someone will always disagree, but IMO I have never found a better setup than than the OEM dual fan setup. It cools my 400 in traffic on 105* days in Phoenix WITH THE STOCK 1" ALUMINUM RADIATOR. The motors on the aftermarket fans dont even compare to the OEMs. However, temp does creep up if the AC is on and the outside temp gets over 110* in stop and go traffic.
The only reason I say this because you can spend a bunch of money on an aftermarket radiator and fan setup and still be right were you are now or only a few degrees cooler. I have done it and ended up going back to the OEM dual.
Also, if you are using your stock gauge/sender as your only measurement of engine temp, then try using something else. Check your temp using your ECM and see what the computer thinks the engine temp is. Stock gauge is notoriously wrong.

Less Noisy Electric Fans
I'd like to follow-up with a related question: my goal is a quiet running electric fan that's also efficient. My OEM Mercedes fan is annoyingly loud. I've read there's a 16" single GM fan from the 80's that's quiet but 5" deep. Can you comment on the sound level of your dual 11's?

Well my permacools have a little noise. I think there just as quiet as my OEMs (had a really bad rattle cause the fan blades was off balance). They might have been 12s... for some reason I was thinking 11s... but I'm dumb I don't think anyone even makes 11s.
There the 12" electric 1650 cfm each then I'm running a 10" as a pusher around 900+ (corrected) cfm on top of my trans cooler. They do have a hum though. I think most of its just from the mass of air there moving. If you leave the door open and put your hand down at ground level outside the car you can feel the air moving at dead spot with no wind. I've been very happy with them though, but they did cost me an arm and leg.
