Black HEAT Dissipating Paint
Does anyone know who makes this stuff and what it can be used on? I think edelbrock headers are coated in it. Not sure but I know its BLACK and helps dissipate heat....which is sweet because usually black holds it in and I like black on my silver car so if I can use it then I will. Shyt why not.

Black doesn't "hold in" heat, it enables heat transfer by way of infrared radiation, from the hotter object and to the colder object.
So painting your headers with this will keep the headers cooler and the engine bay components warmer..
Painting your car with it will make the car heat up higher and faster in the sun than if it's silver. It will cool down faster after sundown, but having been heated higher to begin with it will take just as long to cool to the same temp as the silver car..

No no....you got me wrong...painting engine parts is what I want to do. I want some black and silver contrast in my engine bay....not just all silver. Thats why I asked so I can see what can be painted with it. Thanks though. But I indeed can spray my radiator with this....like a baked black finish?

I'm sorry but I don't know where in the US paints like these are to be had. But for headers your only option is VHT or some other very heat resistant paint (1200 degrees F). I wouldn't paint my headers flat black because of the added radiated heat load on nearby accessories, wires, & hoses (although I don't know exactly how much it would amount to). On other parts of the engine block (and radiator) you can use some ordinary engine enamel kind of paint (300-400 degrees F). On accessories (generator, pulleys, pumps, etc.) you should be able to use any paint. Yes, you can spray paint the radiator, just use as thin coatings as you can get away with (you'll have to spray it from 2-4 angles), flat/baked black is nice there.
