Compressor oil leak and overheat.

Compressor oil leak and overheat.
My 92' RS recently overheated. I've had problems with the fan relays as I gather many have. Anyway, when I popped the hood, oil everywhere. Turned out to be from the compressor. I electrically disconnected the compressor. My fans not working again. Before replacing the entire relay harness again, could it be related the compressor malfunctioning? And can overheating, cause a compressor oil leak. Any help before I start replacing the fans, wiring harness, radiator and compressor would be awesome.

The compressor leak and engine overheating are 2 separate problems.
You have a Fan Switch located in the right rear portion of the engine.
You can use a jumper wire to ground to see it will cause the fan to turn on.
If it does, then you will know the harness and relay are good, and the problem is the fan switch.

Actually what ended up happening is the A/C system built up too much head pressure because the fans weren't working, then blew out the refrigerant. Usually if this happens you'll here it purge. The fans caused your A/C issue. Fix the fans, then figure out the A/C issue. Good luck.

Good thinking Jonesyfxr.
It’s also apparent his Over-Pressure Switch which is supposed to turn his comp off did not, so MM1, make sure that switch located on the comp rear has not been bypassed.
If it wasn’t bypassed it sounds like it needs replacing.
Also MM1, when the fan(s) stop, and the Over-Pressure Switch is functioning, the AC will stop long before the engine overheats, giving you plenty of time to react.
