Axle/Gears: 9 bolt Borg-Warner
Long or short water pump?? Which?

Im looking at aluminum WP's and can't determine which style i have to order the right one... 88 5.7 tpi

Since there are no short water pumps (pre-'69, basically) that support the serpentine belt system (post-'87 more or less) that results in reverse rotation, it's pretty straightforward.

All reverse-rotation water pumps are long.

actually there is, the old ones are short but later vettes (C4s) use a short reverse rotation pump. It's about .140 or so longer than the old short pump. Vettes used serpentine from 84 upward.
