Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

Glad to have TP around. He's a great guy, answered all my questions and even offered to send me another chip to use while mine was out. I'd highly recommend him to anybody.

My IROC is much nicer to drive now that the converter lockup has been raised, runs cooler, and starts up much quicker.

I can also say I had a great experience with TP.

After my T5 swap I was having stalling/idling errors and I didn't know why. He went out of his to contact me through PM and tell my why and that I needed a new prom. I bought it from him very reasonable $ and it worked perfect, haven't had an issue since. Great guy!

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

you did all the hard work , btw with headers most times the o2 will cool off at idle and the engine will drop out of closed loop. A heated o2 like a acdelco afs-74 works great. You can nook up a scanner or laptop to watch the o2 or even use the check engine light with the aldl in field service mode to see if you are going and staying in closed loop

I want to thank all my customers, friends here on tgo. I have ran into tough times and no longer can afford the vendor fees. I have been informed my account will be permanently locked next Tuesday. I am however in the slow process of working on a web site Tunedperformance.org . I really would love to remain a member here but unknown to me once a vendor status either you pay Internet brands or your account gets locked.

This is pure, undiluted bullsh1t! What the hell does it hurt if a member just wants to go back to being a member as long as he does no selling or promoting of his product. Brian, you are, without a doubt the finest tuner I have ever encountered. The almighty dollar wins again.

Diddo. Show the man the respect he's earned and deserves. If it's not working out with him on the fee's just put him back to normal status. He's a HARD working heavy contributing helpful member and freind to many of us (and definately to this site) that we can't lose!

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

I second what everyone else has already said. He not only sells things that are in VERY high demand for our cars, but he has tons of advice and information that has helped us all get our cars the way that we want them. I have a thread right now because my car has been idling funny lately and he has been the ONLY person to comment on it...I mean he is just a great guy. What a shitty way to show your thanks to a member who has been such a great part of this board for so long.

But we'll keep ThirdGenCustoms on here a guy who scams people and tarnishes reputations on this site. Shows you what the people who run this site are about. The worst part is they will ban him...not just take his vendor status away. Complete bullshit.

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

Issues like this never go well for any involved. Brian isn't happy, some in the community are upset, Internet Brands may have one less vendor, and I'm a little disappointed with some events today. When something like this occurs, there's often more to the situation and both sides can see things differently.

A few weeks ago, Brian contacted me asking me to try and help him negotiate the vendor fees because he indicated his income (not just from sales here) and sales didn't allow him to afford the fees. I informed Brian that I'm not involved with that area but Brian forwarded me an email that got me involved. It didn't work out.

As I informed Internet Brands, I know the community likes Brian and his services. I know Brian knows the DYI PROM area and does contribute to forums just like many of the non-vendors do so everyday. I informed Internet Brands that it would be a loss and not easy. But please remember that ThirdGen.org is operating for profit, and has for over 5+ years, just as Brian is trying to do so himself with his services. Bandwidth, server hardware, salary (for those who work for the company in developing and tech) aren't free and this site would never run on your 19.95/month plan. Regarding ThirdGenCustoms, it has been stated we're looking into the matter and I have a report into the matter. However, Brian's case was probably accelerated because not only was Brian's subscription up for renewal, but Brian wanted to negotiate the price even further than he already was getting. Brian made the decision to allow his vendor subscription to expire and, as it's standard procedure across other (larger) communities that Internet Brands own, the vendor account was going to be closed. It was my understanding that's standard procedure and has been for years and so I'm shocked Brian indicated that he wasn't aware. I do want to point out that Brian was in contact with me and others at Internet Brands for an appeal while some of this was developing and so I think some of this could have been avoided.

Both sides can only do so much and it appears neither side was happy enough to make any deal. I can't disclose details but I don't feel it's entirely accurate or fair to suggest Internet Brands did nothing for Brian because that's not what I seen.

Lastly, I want to make it clear that Brian himself was never being considered for any banning - just his vendor account. Brian would not have been stopped from using the forum as a non-vendor and it's completely up to Brian to continue contributing to the forums like any other non-vendor.

I don't think there's any winners here.

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

I as a member on this forum, I vote to keep him as a non selling member. Without any of us "members" of this forum, there wouldn't be a need for sponsors or hiring of people to run and keep the site running. At the end of the day you want good people around you, and money can't buy that. He should be able to keep name, he can loose his sponsor title, cause I have a feeling he will still give ideas and solve problems for the guys that keep coming back to the site for those answers.

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

There was never any question about that. As I said, Brian was never considered to be banned from the site. Only have his vendor account closed. Part of the issue here is that Brian wanted to keep his vendor account open as a non-vendor - which is not normal procedure across any of the sites in the network and I'm not sure I've seen such an uproar when it's happened to other vendor accounts.

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

Thank you for the explicit explanation JT , I was pretty shocked to get the news of the policy today. I thought I had asked this in the begining but to be honest my long term memory is not what it use to be. InternetBrands told me they are considering keeping mw user profile but I might have to chose a different user name. I guess it is what is. I will continue being a member here and helping new and old friends with the common goal. Having fun , restoring there cars , fixing running issues and making hp.
Internet Brands has done alot for me but I dont feel like raising my prices will make much of a difference for me covering the fees.- Stay Tuned

It bothered me so I looked at previous emails about my member name, I guess it doesn't matter what I call myself. I was told to pick a user name that is non descriptive .

hello ken, would it be possible for me to keep my user I'd Tuned Performance on tgo and could I try this for 30 days and see how it goes ?. I really appreciate it alot. If all that is ok my paypal is brianlvs@hotmail.com can I pay a invoice. Thank you again I truly appreciate it-brain

Keep doing what you do Brian. I do not post much or sign in much for that matter, but I do check the site multiple times every night and I always make a point to read what you have to say in every thread. Your input is greatly appreciated and I thank you. I will be in touch in the future for your tuning services, one way or another. Thank you again, past, present, and future.

Thanks Brian for the awesome quick turn around of the reprogramming of my chip for my 88 5.7 GTA.
My hard start has been accompanying me for 25 years. I have been reading the forums here and read nothing but praise for Brian at Tuned Performance and what he has to offer. My cold start issues are over. Quick turnaround, fair and honest. Kudos to Brian! Keep up the great advice and everything you offer.

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

Brian is a top guy. He's been patiently working with me to burn a new chip for my cammed LB9. I previously had a TBI chip and only after removing it, did I realise it was actually slowing the car down!

Brian has been fantastic. I've been capturing logs, sending them from Rugby, England to the USA and within hours, he is able to tell me how well my car is running and what tweaks are needed. The first prom, I could feel the difference, seat of pants. He's also deleted the 9th injector for me.

Maximum kudos to Brian and Tuned Performance from the UK.

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

I just wanted to let all my friends, customers know Am trying to return more on tgo. I have been through lot this last year. Losing my house due to a work related injury. Moving to the mountains. Trying to build a shop so I have a place to park my vehicles and a place to work. I am gearing up for winter right now, getting firewood, working on setting up a plow for my truck. I just haven't had the energy, time to do much more than try get get settled into my cabin for the long winter. I do apologize for not reading pms , emails. I just have not had the dedicated time or the ability to mentally deal with all questions and tuning.-Brian

As far as pms I have 70 right now, Its getting alittle overwhelming and I'm not sure where to begin. I'm going to try to respond starting at the bottom but please be patient.

Btw if anyone know is there is a driver issue with tuner pro rt please let me know. I have issues I can't seem to figure out.

Brian if here is anything that I can do for you, please let me know. My wife is well versed in real estate law and the such. I totally understand the injury thing, just now getting to drive again due to knee surgery. And the Suburban is running well, thanks to you.

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

I just finished a tune for 1986 TPI. Bar Nun the Best Money I Have Spent on My Camaro. Whether you have a Stock or a Modified Motor It Will Wake it Up.
He helped me thru Turner Pro RT, So I know he has Patience! It took a couple of tunes and it was Spot On. I live in NC. It was only 3 days.

Thanks TunedPerformance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
