Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

Hi. Tuned Performance is a great Guy. He helped me in every way on tuning my GTA, with TunerPro, answered all my questions, checked my Datalogs everything. My GTA runs smooth, pulls strong and it is a real pleasure to cruise arround. I can recommend him for everyone who needs tuning for there ThirdGens.
Thank you so much for your help.

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

Well....What can I say that hasn't been said. Brian is fantastic and does great work. I ordered a chip basically to help eliminate vats and it did just that and in addition the car has more power than it ever has. I'm quite impressed! I did plugs and wires as well but there's no way the power the car has no is from plugs and wires which leads me to his chips. Great guy and phenomenal communications.

To my Thirdgen friends, I have been dealing with some serious health issues. As for now I do not believe I'm capable of tuning anymore. For those I have sent memcals too free of charge and have done countless custom tunes and you have never settled up I would appreciate getting paid. I am dealing with a brain injury as well as other health issues , I do not recall every transaction/tune loaned equipment . God Bless - Tuned

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

I can't praise Brian enough, especially after this past week........

I've been in need of a proper tune for years now. After completion of my engine build Brian sent me a tune, It never would run right and I was too dumb to figure out datalogging so the Iroc sat in the garage for a couple years.

I decided to really try figuring it out this year. With Brians health issues and his announcement of not tuning for awhile I tried a different tuner and finally learned how to datalog. It would run but not very good. Tuner thought was a fault other than his tune so I was back to square 1 again.
I posted about my troubles on my old thread "350 vortec build thread" that Brian was subscribed to, He reached out to me wanting to help.
Over the past week or so he's reviewed countless datalogs, taught me how to burn tunes with Burn2, sent me at least a dozen different tunes until he got her dialed in perfect.
I'm happy to say it's finally tuned! Thanks totally to Brian.

He's guided me the entire time on the Iroc build and the engine build. Harness conversion, proms, Holley stealth ram, injectors, tunes, advice, schematics, diagrams, links, list goes on forever.

Very grateful to know him and to have found him on this great forum.

Thanks Tunedperformance! You're a life saver!

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

Brian is an awesome guy. He was selling a Hypertect MemCal years ago. I saw he was selling it for around $130. I asked if i can buy it in payments. He said yeah and quoted me $90. I told him no. So i paid him him original price since he has always helped me with tuning, chips, and tech advice. He's a very cool guy.

He's been a great help to me in the past with some bugs that developed after my TPI swap and when I made other changes and upgrades. Hope he sticks around for a long, long time as good, knowledgeable TPI people are hard to find.

Pm sent , if you can install a new key cylinder I can program out the vats. You will also need to bypass the starter enable relay. Let me know if you need directions on that super easy .

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

I just emailed him for putting together a plan for my 88 GTA 5.7
Needs new injectors and EGR delete redone properly- so looking to pick the right injectors and get a tune to match. Car is stock except ignition and 3" exhaust/gutted cat. Looking forward to waking this car up a bit. I wanted one since 1988.

I sent my Memcal to Brian and he soldered in a socket to make chip removal easy and he programmed a base tune. After I got my own Moates equipment he worked with me to datalog and refine the tune. He is one of the best members on Thirdgen.org.

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

Just wanted to say thank you to tuned performance for the excellent tune right out of the box. He's great to work with. I gave him the info on my 383 hsr combo and he nailed it. He offered to walk me through data logging if I wanted to go that route. Asked me to try it out for a while and let him know how it ran. Answered any and all questions I had. Just a super guy to deal with. Thanks again.

I recently dealt with Brian on a chip, after swapping to Bosch 3 injectors the car didn't run well at all. Brian was able to burn me a new chip with injector change, car runs great. It's actually really fun to drive now

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

Long story. Swapped all of the parts, wiring, engine(with cam upgrade), exhaust, dash, EVERYTHING from my 87 into this 91 donor body I bought from Arizona(I live in Ohio) via Hawkes. After several shop mishaps(I have the worst luck picking shops, ask Brian!)I ended up fixing the car myself. Car ran alright going into shop 2, but came back running richer than hell. I went through 2 sets of spark plugs 3 times(cleaning them each time in a rotation), while Brian patiently helped me dial this in. We went through about 7 tunes(I have the burning software, Brain has the knowledge, which he taught me a bit) before we decided my Lucas injectors were going bad. Swapped them for Bosch 3's and it ran better. Went through another 5 tunes before we settled on the engine being horribly out of time. I got out a timing light and despite myself managed to time the engine(I really have no idea how I dialed it in successfully...haha). Wouldn't you know it, dialing in the timing got the car closer to ideal. Again patiently Brian coached me through tuner pro and what tables to edit. I swear we have over 300 emails and 500 texts back and forth along with 30+ logs. The car runs great, about as good as it can get until I get my wideband installed, which is ordered. Brian is honestly too nice for his own good, but that is a quality we can all appreciate in this day and age. Brian, thank you from the bottom of my heart my baby is back on the road after over a 13 month ordeal of bullshit shops and other nonsense.

Brian is the best. We are working back and forth for about 2 weeks now on my tune. He is patient, and takes time to explain what he is doing and why. He walked me thru my first chip burn and already the car is running better. Thumbs up to tuned performance !!!

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

I recommend tunedperformance 100%!!! I have no regrets doing my business with him. He is very helpful and will answer any question you might have. His work is pure quality and i couldn't be happier with his product. I was loosing hope on my car,i couldn't figure out how to fix my car everything I did to bypass the vats problem didn't help. Until I got in contact with Brian, he sent me a PROM that had vats disabled and it turned on instantly! He really makes you feel like a close friend.

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

Brian’s tuned my maf car for an a4 to t56 swap, bigger injectors, and now a bigger engine. Always spot on.

I can’t recommend him more highly, and can’t thank him enough.

Another good experience with Brian here. There was a minor hiccup (we all know these things happen on occasion in this hobby, but how the seller reacts to it makes ALL the difference). But his customer service was outstanding in taking care of it. He stands behind what he sells (and that's saying something these days). Which means you can buy with confidence.

Definitely would do business with him again.

Another great experience. Brian, aka TunedPerformance was incredibly helpful. After I did my t5 swap I realized my prom chip needed replaced, I saw that he was selling them back in 2012 on a comment he posted. I PMed him and he answered all of my questions, was happy to help with everything I had asked, and within a week I had gotten my chip tuned and I was ready to roll again. Great guy, very helpful! 10/10

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

I worked with Brian (aka Tuned Performance) to be able to get my (new to me) ‘88 GTA sorted. The previous owner had put 24# injectors without a turn so it was running rich and consuming excess fuel. I replaced the injectors with Bosch D3 and eliminated the cold start injector. Brian burned me two chips and I was able to replace the the original one and she now runs like a top.

in the future as I get more data, I will likely use Brian to re-tune it.

Great experience for a TPI novice!

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

I had Brian help me with my 1989 Formula 350. I bought the car new and had it in storage for 23 years. I lost touch with the tpi scene and found his FB page. I asked him what I needed to get the car sorted out because I added a lingenfelter cam and runners, headers ect in the early 90s. He was extremely easy to talk to and explained everything to me. I bought all the equipment to log and burn the chip. My car had issues with a few things to get a data log working. Brian was key to my success. I recommend him to everyone. I am in the process of rebuilding the whole engine now as it sat too long. Tunedpreformance is Awesome. 👍

Brian is one of the hidden gems in our community. Hes been helping people out as long as I can remember. He has weighed in on my threads and many others and hes always helpful, informative and on point with his advice. He has helped me with my tune on both my old APU1 setup and after I switched to EBL. If you manage to come up with something that he doesnt already know, he will go to great lengths to get the correct information and get you squared away.

Excellent help from an excellent member of our community.

Re: This forum is lucky to have tunedperformance

Thank you Brian (Tuned Performance) for sharing your wealth of knowledge regarding TPI and it’s intricate tuning. From burning proms to helping navigate datalogging and tuning you are a great help for those of us learning to rebuild these historic 3rd Gens. Much respect from Canada.
