HELP!!! Looking for ECM Options
Hello to all,
Here is my problem; My brother's TPI truck is run by an old Accel SFM 74022-A ecm that is apparently ruined. It is a speed density setup. Questions are:
Will a 91-92 F-Body V8 ecm can be used to replace the damaged unit?
Will it mostly be plug and play or it simply does not work, not compatible?
What would be my options?
Thanks in advance!

Re: HELP!!! Looking for ECM Options
Seeing how Accel supplied their own harness, I doubt it would be plug and play with a 730 ECM. That being said, you have all the sensors needed and the wiring is all laid out. I would try DynamicEFI to see about getting one of their EBL setups. You will have to re-pin the ECM side with connectors you can salvage from a recycling yard. You will need the Accel wiring diagram to cross reference to the new ECM. Can't get a replacement Accel controller? Either way it's not gonna be a cheap quick fix. HTH!

Scrap that old technology and step up to the digital age. Tons of awesome options out there, Holley HP and Dominator, accel dfi, fast efi, easy efi, the list goes on. You get the idea tho plus it makes it a hell of a lot easier to tune with a power adder like the turbo your running. I'm personally running HP EFI and couldn't be happier. The only pita installing it was separating everything I needed from the factory harness
