Re: Tunerpro

Suggest you
1. use punctuation.
2. Be specific as to what the problem is.
3. Be specific as to what you have tried to solve it.
4. Be specific on what your question is.

TP works there are some hurdles that may be with the PC hardware, PC software, cable, or in TP.

Ok well I wanna know the best place to start. For a new tuner that knows nothing. I know nothing about bins or the Xdf, or the other things that are needed I can't remember i don't have my computer right now to check.

Re: Tunerpro

OK so learn the basic terms and concepts. It's all online or in TP, no sense repeating here. Then connect to the car and see if you can read in real time. That will be big progress.

Re: Tunerpro

What I get is: '89 305 with the L03. If correct, that uses the '8746 ECM which is MaskID $61, that is the secret decoder key.

You need the $61 ECU or XDF file to edit the BIN

Need the $61 ADS or ADX to monitor/log the ALDL data stream

Of course need Tuner Pro RT to be able to connector to the ALDL stream and edit the BIN.

As for hardware, need an ALDL to USB cable.

Now you can set up and get the data logging working.

To do 'chips,' need the G2 adapter, some 29sf512 chips (27sf512?), and the Burn 2. The adapter gets soldered into the ECM, then the 'sf512 chips can be used.

See www.moates.net

RBob.

Re: Tunerpro

These are all questions that can be answered by reading up on the stuff, research. Whether your on Moates, Tunerpro website. Or when you download and open up Tunerpro RT and click Help -. Help Topics. or hitting the F12. it tells you all the basics from the meaning of the ADX, TDX definition files, to familiarization, to beginner operation.
Than the moates website will show if and what adapter you need to hook up to the ECM board, or the ALDL cable. once you get connectivity with the vehicle, than you can load the ADX,TDX files in question. In 2 seconds that'll tell you if they're the correct defintions. Theirs a lot to know. Even more information available at our finger tips. just going to take a lot of reading and familiarization

Re: Tunerpro

TO tchampton.

what school did you go to that they never taught punctuation and capitalization please use punctuation and capitalization you don't realize how hard it is to understand what you are is saying because we can't tell where a thought starts or ends because its just one great big run on sentence that just keeps going on and on and never really gets to a point AND WE DECIDE NOT TO READ THIS JIBBERISH SO YOU DON'T GET ANY USABLE ANSWERS

You'll find a great deal of prep work available in the stickies at the top of the heading. Although some is outdated, and have lost links, it's a good place to begin to learn. I still go back to it a few times a year to get e refresher course on things.
