Coil Parameters for a BIN?

Hi Guys,

Does anyone have any knowledge on how the coil dwell time is set up in the popular bins ($32B & $8D)?

Just thinking back to the old days when I set up the points for a specific coil.

Best Regards,

Bruce

Re: Coil Parameters for a BIN?

The GM coil dwell code is rather sophisticated. For static dwell it is a three line slope that is based on RPM. There is then dynamic dwell and battery compensation.

The dwell can also be limited to ensure a 600 usec minimum burn time.

The dwell parameters are hard coded, but can always hex edit the BIN to change them.

RBob.
