Looking for info on going to mpfi on 7427.
I have a 94 c1500 with bad motor good body. i have a spare tpi intake. I toying with the idea of putting my tpi 350 in and build a new motor for the iroc. I get the 305 apart it needs machine work. The 305 could be tbi or tpi. The 305 is within tbi horse power limits the 350tpi is not. I am looking for a good running DD with fuel milage. I programmed 165, and 730. Truck 4l60e , other wise I would repin for 730. Went to sevral sites. The only one has notes is gearheadefi. have account for two year but no access it download the tbi to tpi file on 7427.

TPI would be great on a truck, Thats what the trucks should have had in the first place. No other manifold I know of builds better bottom end torque than a TPI, ideal for trucks.

TBI makes more low-end torque than a TPI ever thought about. Where the TPI shines is the midrange. TBI can support well over 400 HP if you use a 454 TBI and a better intake manifold.

Fast, I followed your dual plane, victor jr 2bl and then tpi build. I wanted to swap my iroc tpi out for single plane. i had a monte with 4.3 tbi, 305 tbi, 350tbi and then 350tpi. i had the stock and holley tbi on the 350. The tbi was quicker til ran out of fuel. I learned about this site after the tpi install. I learned to program on the tpi, so never felt the tbi tuned right. I have parts to do both builds. It looks like the cost of the fuel lines and make a cai for the tpi would buy me a victor jr 2bl intake. I think I will go tbi with 416 heads, lt1cam, and stock intake. I'll just change the reg spring and fuel pump. Fast, what timing table bin do you recommend for 416 heads. I got dish pistons and going to run .015 head gaskets.
