False knocks

Hi folks

Im running a EBL P4 its a great system. i do however have a problem with false knocks. I am thinking im going to swap knock sensors, as i understand it the LT4 sensor is less sensitive correct? I have searched and found old posts that state there is a knock sensor and a knock modual , could someone please explain the difference? part numbers?

from 3500 on up im getting a bunch of false knock ...i pulled 10 * and the knock is still there , so i assume its just false. thanks in advance for any and all replies.

Re: False knocks

Careful not to have the knock sensor over tightened. That can cause problems too.

Re: False knocks

I'm not sure why the L98 5.7 knock sensor isn't working for you. Ironically, I'm running that very L98 sensor with LT4 spark table without any issues.

Unfortunately I don't the LT4 knock sensor p/n.

But if you go to http://parts-catalog.acdelco.com/cat...log_search.php you can probably navigate your way to it. Another good source would be gmpartsdirect.com.
