How do I properly place MEMCAL on BURN2 to get stock tune?

I bought a BURN2 unit recently and I know I saw on here somewhere on here a member who made his own adapter to go from the BURN2 to the stock MEMCAL. My question is, which side of the MEMCAL do I hook up to the unit? Should I hook up the "limp mode" side or the other side? This is how I was using it, but the readings seemed really low to me(fuel cutoff @ 9MPH).

Does this look right or is it backwards?

Connect to the chip on the left. The orientation is correct (notch on end of chip marks #1 end).

That's an interesting idea, when you get the wires moved under the chip area you should be able to read it. I don't think you can reprogram it, though.

The easiest way is to use an HDR1 from moates: http://www.moates.net/hdr1-memcal-he....html?cPath=64

I've also made my own HDR1 type adapter using some perf board and some .1" headers.

Could one of you guys with a stock 3.1L chip scan yours and tell me if mine is reading right? There are a few readings in the scalars that seem strange.
Like the "cylinders" being 192 and the "fuel cutoff rpm" being 84.97 while the "unconditional tcc lock vechicle speed" is 168 mph

That chip should be AZTY for a '91 MPFI w/700R4. Can get a good copy from Mike's site:

Re: How do I properly place MEMCAL on BURN2 to get stock tune?

Just wanted to add, the cylinder count of 192 is correct (for a 6-cyl). It is 3/4th's of the 8-cyl value of 256 (the value of zero is actually used).

The other values you listed don't look right. Be aware that there are mistakes in the ECU/XDF files (even the ones I create), so sometimes things won't be quite right.

Ok, thank you I will download his when I get home. How do you get the correct info to run the car properly if it copies wrong info sometimes?
