Just how much can be programmed? (code 33)

I'm dealing with the awesome code 33 in my car and I really wish I wasn't. I edited the max air vs. rpm value but the code is still there I tried upping the graph a little bit at a time, but even at 254 or 255 in all fields I still get the code. Is there something else that can be edited to make it not trip a code? I understand the reason for trouble codes but the car runs just fine until the car thinks there is a problem and shuts off the MAF...
I swapped the MAF from a god running car and I have a new TPS to put on later today.

tl;dr I don't want to replace parts that are working fine and may not fix my issue halp.

Re: Just how much can be programmed? (code 33)

If the code is due to engine modifications you can modify the test constraints. Increasing this value can do the trick (mask $6E):

Code:
LC210 FCB 45 ; If Air Flow less-then or equal to 45 gms/sec, disable ERR #33
There is also a TPS% and RPM limit that can also be modified

If the Ostrich is running the ECM, then yes, you can change that parameter.

Uncheck the diagnostic in the switch table and zero out the values in the EGR % Duty cycle Vs LV8 Vs RPM tables.
do yourself a favor and get Tunercat. Let the code writers talk gibberish while the real men tune.

SMH, how do you expect to tune without knowing how the code works?

Unchecking the diagnostic flag only prevents the SES/CEL, the ECM still goes into N-Alpha mode. But what does a lowly 'code writer' know about how an ECM works....

Re: Just how much can be programmed? (code 33)

Luckily a $6E bin and a new TPS sensor cured my issue, so I didn't have to try and find whereever the hell "LC210 FCB 45 " is.

MrWilly I'm using tunerpro because I've used it for a while on my other cars, any reason tunercat is better here? I'm not going to buy a wideband and start datalogging stuff, I just want the car to drive smooth, won't be racing anyone for now.

Re: Just how much can be programmed? (code 33)

A guy told me one time that C students teach A & B students. Example, the creators of Tunerpro are brilliant guys and their software works well for other people who have similar abilities. Where they failed was to lower the difficulty of learning. Tunercat and Datamaster have done this. I have been tuning for others for many years. I've done well over a 1000 and have learned from others to become better at what I do. Retired from the Carpenters Union in 2012 at 52 and turned up my tuning that I really enjoy. Here's an example of how much simpler these programs are.
edit: I forgot to mention I also turn up EGR MAT temp in the constants to 150C.

Isn't it better to contribute then be worse then a non-contributor?
