ok i'm trying to wire a relay to the fuel pump on my car but i don't have a wireing diagram so people tell me if i have this right

pin 30 on the relay goes right to the battory

pin 87 goes to the hot wire on the pump pin

86 goes to the IGN. on power in the fuse box (or in my case a
toggle switch)

pin 85 is ground?

pin 87a is not used.... does this sound right?

What kind of relay are you talking about here. That definitely isn't the stock fuel pump relay with pins like that.

this is a full blown race car nothign stock the relay is a 30amp 5 pin relay you know the same kind that you get to the fan kits you can get where you put the temp rod in the rad. and it was turn the relay on to the fans.... same idea.... what i'm trying to do is other then haveing the the babtorty goign to the fuse box then to the toggle switch then back to the pump that was only 12" away from the battoy i want to use a relay so i get more volage to the pump

That a pinout for a standard Bosch relay.

85 & 86 doesn't matter for polarity.

Yea thats what i was thinking just wanted to make sure. i didn't want to burn up the pump .... not like it matters i have two of them LoL
