Auto-on headlights

I want to have my headlights come on when I turn the key to any possition other then off. I also want the option of turning on the headlights on when the car is off. I was thinking a relay on the headlight wire with the ignition hooked up for the coil. this would make the lights stay on if I just left the switch pulled out. How could I make it so that the lights came on with the plunger in when the car is on. Diode somewhere maybe? thanks

You want something like this....

I had a similar module in my previous car, should be available at your local parts store, that's where I got mine. Ask for a DRL (daytime running lights) module.
