Starting Issue on a 91 camaro
Ok so i have a 91 camaro with a 87 tpi in it. Everything worked great. The obvious stuff has been checked. Batt Starter Alt wires. It won't click over at all. The only thing out of place is the neutral safty was not bolted in so i messed with that tried to ground it and nothing. I have 2 question I believe it is the neutral safty switch or the ignition. How do i test each or jump them to see what the issue is? Also on the ignition i have 2 power wires it seems purple which is constant when the key is on or in cranking mode and yellow which doesn't seem to have any power.

Re: Starting Issue on a 91 camaro
What do you mean the neutral safety was not bolted in? The whole automatic shifter switch was loose?
Here are some diagrams that will help you: http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=19
Follow the path of the starting circuit from the red wire that has constant power and supplies it to the ignition switch, throught he yellow wire that is the cranking wire, to the starter enable relay (under the driver side dash or behind driver kick panel) where the wire color changes to dark greeen, to the neutral safety switch on the automatic shifter, where the wire changes color again to purple and then directly to the starter.
If you follow this path, you are bound to find the failure.
Hope this helps.
