underhood light/blower motor high speed stopped working???
Switched my heat to high one night and it didnt work.Low still works though.?Popped the hood and my underhood light wasnt working either. It was working the previous day.Changed the bulb still didnt work.I traced the wire from the light and it connects to a red wire that runs into the harness.I put 12 volts on the light and it works.I put 12 volts on the red wire that goes into the harness and my fan will work on high.
So is there a fuse Im overlooking cause i checked several times.could it have something to do with the blower motor resistor?I know somewhere there has to be a fuse or
something because it s lost power from its source. The fuse under the hood to the light is fine as well.thanks

Not long ago this came up, but there was no mention about the hood light problem. There was mention of a resistor for the high setting.
Sorry I don't recall the OP's name.
Maybe some one will pop in & give ya what ya need.
If not, then search "heater" . Maybe something there for you.

Yeah I`ve tried a bunch of search options but since my heater still works on low I didnt think it would be just a resistor.I`m having trouble understanding why the two are related unless its a fuse i`m overlooking or its a previous owners work.I will try heater just didnt occur to me.thanks

The underhood light, IIRC, works off a mercury switch. Any chance the switch is simply broken (coincidence, I know, but....).

just a little update....It was the funny looking grey plug.It was all burnt up on the inside.Found it by searching other threads. It wasnt the relay.Never expected the plug to burnt up on the inside but look good on the outside.
