i need help with the tbi vss

Car: 1991 Bird
Engine: Goodwrench 4bolt 357 bore vortec
Transmission: T-5
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt posi disc w/3.23
i need help with the tbi vss
swaped the tbi for a carb. bye bye ecm. now i need to get the vss figured out so i maintain its function. and will i have any problems with the VATS system letting me start the car? thanks for your help. i really need it. AUTO FAIR is just around the corner.

Speed Reading
You don’t need an ECM but you do need a buffer to convert the VSS sine wave AC to square wave DC.
If you have cruise control add a 4013 chip to divide by 2 to enable that function.

thank you for the input NINA.....but can you put that to me like a noob. is it the same buffer the car came with? and i had cruise. decided not to have it in the engine bay so i removed it. so can i still use that chip? and where does it go? it WAS a 305. i thought the 5.0 and 5.7 tbis were the same?
