some headlight conversion help.

i have a 91 B4C that has dual filament brights installed from the PO that do not work. after chasing a bad ground and feedback I've finally just decided to wire in a new harness with relays to avoid having 6 filaments worth of current running through my dash and headlight switch when the stock stuff couldn't handle 4. i've verified that all components work with a power probe but the filaments on the high beams glow when the low beams are on (they don't illuminate but turn orange and put off almost no light.) this is a diagram I've come up with. the original high and low beams come from the c100 bulkhead connector and i'm curious as to whether or not I would need a resistor in each control circuit to avoid having it just keep switching power to ground and blowing stuff up. (can never forget if the coil side of a relay is considered a load or not.) Also would an 18gauge fusible link be the right choice for this? I tried reading through the wiring and amperage chart but all i see is html. the wiring is labeled with the gauges. any comments or concerns are always appreciated.

p.s. sorry about the cheesey paint job i haven't played with paint in forever.
