replacement blend door actuator?

replacement blend door actuator?
i have an 87 gta w/digital controls and it wouldn't blow anything but heat so i checked things out.on the bottom of the htr box and attached to the other end of the blend door linkage was this little motor-gearbox-circuit board actuator.i unplugged the wire clip and dash slider sends signals so its working,so i figure its the actuator.the problem with that is i looked in the local junkyards and ebay and did a search here at thirdgen but can't find one or info on it anywhere.if anyone has figured out how to do this with an available blend door actuator let me know, please, otherwise i guess its back to trial and error.

hey just so everyone knows, the blend door actuator works great and ri john went to a lot of trouble for me.there was a delay in the mail(after it left john)and it hadn't showed up in over a week.i got a hold of him and he tracked the package and assured me it was still coming.sure enough it was here the next day.this is just the highlights,he put up with me through several messages.
thanks again,

Re: replacement blend door actuator?
After messing with these things and inspecting my own project car while trying to verify some info I noticed that the heater-core cover had been improperly installed by the previous owner. Had I not been searching for compatability info I probably wouldn't have noticed and the air delivery would have probably been weak at best.
In other words - helping you guys (& Roar !) out, helped me out !
Glad I could help, and Thanx !

Re: replacement blend door actuator?
So for anyone looking for a new or used actuator, there doesn't seem to be any out there. I have discovered that an actuator out of a GMT400 pickup truck will work! The only problem is that you will have to fabricate a bracket to mount it to. I made mine out of aluminum. The plastic arm on the original actuator will also work but you have to grind it down to fit.
I went to the junkyard to get the truck actuator so I could get the pigtail with it. If you go to the junk yard, the easiest actuator is located close to the gas pedal in the truck. If you get the acuator (with pigtail) out of the truck that is close to the gas pedal, even the wire colors will be the same as the ones in the car (at least they were for me). Hope this helps someone someday!
