light malfunction, please help it's a daily driver.
Just got this car. 1992 V6 Camaro 5 speed. The head lights work. The dome light comes on when the doors open or I turn the head light switch to the dome light on position. The backup lights work. When I hit the brakes, the brake lights come on. The problem is that these are the only lights that work on the car. When I pull the head light switch the headlights come on but no other lights come on. The tail lights and running lights and all dash lights stay off. Also the Blinker/Wiper,washer stalk doesn't work right. When I turn on the blinkers the stalk doesn't stay up or down and the blinkers don't blink, they just light up and stay up. Is there any common item, a fuze, switch, wire or something that could make all these things happen? Or do I have multiple problems?

Try taking the front of the dash apart so you can look at the light switch. My dash lights didn't work and it turned out that the spring part that it uses for the dimmer fell off of the switch.

Check the fuses. The tail lights and dash lights are on the same circuit.

Thanks guys, I got all the lights on the car workin. Now it's on to figuring out why my power windows don't work and also the rear hatch. I checked the connector going to the window switch, (the ones on the center console) and they are getting power, BUT the rear hatch switch IS NOT getting power. The hatch works, when I pull the little light in the cargo area off I can turn a black **** and open the hatch. The power hatch lifts up and releases the hatch and when I close it the hatch powers downward and latches. The only issue is the switch isn't getting power.
None of this stuff worked when I got the car so I have no idea what's been done to it before me. The driver's side door has been hit and I replaced it with a junkyard door. It was the only 3rd gen in the yard and the windows were manual. So now my driver's side door is manual and my passenger side is still electric. I actually wanna keep it this way if I can so I need to get the passenger's side window working.
Also, is there a cheap way to buy a lock cylinder and key for the rear hatch? The cheapest I've found was over $40! That seams really high just for a lock.

What did you do to get the lights working? I'm in the same situation with my car right now. Headlights and stuff power on, but all interior lights won't power on.

Mine didn't have any night time running lights except headlights. It DID have dome lights, blinkers and brake lights. There were some bad fuses, a switch under the dash and the head light switch.
