Alright after years of work I finally got my 83 z28 back on the road. The other day I took it out to a Dr. appointment and everything was great started right up and ran great. A few days later I was gonna take it to work and the first time I cranked it over it turned but didn't fire. After that now all I get is nothing no clicks or anything. I have double checked battery and cables several times and everything seems good. It has done this before and either I just had to push brake a little or shift the shifter through gears and it would start again. That got me thinking maybe it was the neutral safety switch so just to see I took 2 wire going to it and connected them to bypass the switch and still nothing. Also if I turn the key and bump the starter with a screwdriver it will turn engine just fine. What else can I check here all fuses are good also is there another switch that could be preventing it from turning over?
