TPS keeps unseating.
For some time now my TPS sensor plug has been causing me issues. After a couple heating/cooling cycles plus vibration, it works it's way out ever so slightly but is enough to cause the signal to degrade in the lower throttle range. This is with an intact retaining tab on the plug. The plug housing is new, but pins are old (swapped them over). There is no corrosion that I can see though. It causes the idle to be too high, then when I push it back in it drops back to where it should be. Is there a good solution to this? Would a new TPS work better or would it just have connection problems too?

Re: TPS keeps unseating.
you could strap the tps connector to tps with a tie strap

I may end up doing that, at least in the short term. It seems a bit like a "hack" though. My car's no show car, but it would sort of bug me to see it in there. Would be better than having to pull over to pop the hood and reseat it though.

I would replace both the TPS and the connector. This way you know that both "ends" of the contact points are new and sound.
