wire identification
Hi there I'm new to the forums. I bought an 87 iroc with the 350 tpi in it that had a spun rod. I rebuilt the motor and am trying to restore her but im having troubles getting spark to the plugs. When i got the car the wiring was a mess so i had hoped when i got the motor back in i would figure it out but ive got a few stragglers. Anybody know where these plugs
go?
go?

Re: wire identification
#1 - I had/have one like that, not plugged in to anything. Pink (hot) and black (ground) kinda looks like it is for powering something, but is not a sensor.
#2 - looks like MAT = Manifold Air Temp, which is the sensor under the plenum, toward the back.

Thank you very much sir. I'll look into the mat sensor this weekend still trying to solve the no spark and I'm gonna guess that wouldn't be causing it

Re: wire identification
MoJoe already gave you some good info on #2, so I'll help with #1.
I'm checking my manual, and the only pair of pink/black and black wires in the engine bay lead up to the Electronic Spark Control Module. Hopefully you can get 'er running!
I circled the two wires in question, as you can see they lead to the electronic spark control module

Now I'm not to familiar with Tuned Port, however some quick searching of the distributors for your TPI came up with this:
Or at least something roughly close to this! <br/>Anyways, notice the plug on the left side. It looks relatively close to the connector you have in #1. I'm sure as soon as you plug the connector to the distributor, you'll get 'er running.
