Dual fan not working
Hey guys. My car was sitting for about 2 years. Drove it maybe less then 5 timeso the past 2 years. Anyway I moved, took out my car Saturday and drove it to my new house. It was about 30 miles and ran fine. It was cool driving bc it was mostly highway. When I got home I noticed the fan was not running. I believe it ran before I drove to my new house because I let the car run for awhile before I did my drive. When I got home I noticed my temp gauge was going up. Checked my fans and they weren't on. The fan turns on when I turn my AC on. Does anyone know what could be the problem? Could something be wrong because I let the car sit? BTW I changed the coolant temp sensor a few years ago. It's an 87 305 TPI.

diagram would lead me to look at coolant temp switch.

Re: Dual fan not working
I'd rather suspect the relay.
Take a look into my recent write-up on the subject right here:

You should give the ALDL bridge a try first. If it doesn't come on, swap the relays.
Same result? Check whether your secondary fan still comes on with the A/C, then swap the fan motor connectors and turn on your A/C again. Your primary fan should start running, if it's not shot.
