Nothing turning on

Hello everyone,
My camaro has a big problem that I can't seem to figure out. Nothing will turn on… at all. So it all started in the morning about a week ago when I started my car to go to school: then everything fluctuated, sputtered, and finally turned off. I tried to start the car after and nothing happened, no clicks, and no dash lights. Nothing happens when I turn the key. I looked under the hood and checked the ground cable, that's fine. There's power coming from the battery, to the alternator, and the starter. But nothing turns on. Here's the weird part… my radio light turns on randomly after sitting for about 30 minutes then promptly after I open the door everything turns off again.
Please help, I need my car to get around (I live in the middle of nowhere).

Re: Nothing turning on

Fusible link at the starter

Might want to make sure your battery connections are good; loosen the bolts just a little, move the cable end around so it scrapes against the batt, retighten. If that doesn't get it, fusible link.

Thank you, it turns out it was one of the fusible links connecting to the starter, but it was the one that wasn't supposed to get power so I got thrown off. I'll definitely check there first next time.

Re: Nothing turning on

They're ALL "supposed to get power". They're the "fuses" protecting the car's BIG red wires. ALL power to THE CAR goes through them. The starter and the alternator have their own connections; everything else, gets its power through one of those fuses.

Glad we were able to point you in the right direction.
