Have you checked the GAGES fuse?
It’s situated in the Fuse Block which is located up and to the left of the brake pedal, behind a small door.

I have a similar issues on my 91 z28 5.7. Was cruising along and poof lost all gage functions and with head light on the idiot buzzer rings. Pulled fuzes which all look good. Looking for were to go next.

Re: no gauges 1 big problem
Was able to take a look at my issue again over this thanksgiving holiday and I did find that the Gage 10amp fuse was blown. Replaced it and drove 1.3 miles and popped the fuze again. I guess it is now time to search for a short.
