Fuel Pump Cut off switch for added anti-theft
I would like to create a fuel pump cut off switch in my 91 RS to add some additional anti-theft security.
I know that there is a relay that is between the fuel tank and the passenger seats on the outside, does anyone know which wires I would extend into the interior to put on a simple switch to interrupt power to the fuel pump?
My plan is pretty simple:
extend the harness and drill a hole for it to go through into the passenger compartment and take it to the ash tray between the back seats. So to start, simply reach back, open the tray, flip the switch, and start the car as normal.
Eventually I'll also do a push button start, but for now this will do.
I'll happily write it up if anyone would like after I'm done.

There is no "relay" there. Only a feed-through.
A relay is an electrically operated switch. A small signal sends a little bit of current through its coil, which is a solenoid or electromagnet; the armature, i.e. moving magnetic part, has contacts attached to it, which then control a MUCH higher power circuit.
If you just want to add an extra intermittent (bad connection that works sometimes but not others) to randomly disable your car at the worst possible moment, it would be better to do it on the control side of the relay, rather than the high-power (fuel pump feed) side. Look at the relay, which is near the brake booster; find the coil wires; put your intermittent fault generator there.

Put a piece of poop on the front seat and nobody will mess with your car.

Hey I resemble that remark!!! I'm not gonna go sit in d00d's car just in case the thief comes along right then!

And
If a "pro" car thief sets eyes on your car , they're just gonna show up at 3:42 AM , winch it up into some box truck specifically designed for the purpose of stealing cars , and be gone in 10 seconds or less .

Provided your VATS is working , no "crackhead dentpuller to the ignition moron" is gonna drive off in your car because no one of that type would have the slightest clue of to how to defeat VATS and actually get the engine running .

Towing the car is much easier and faster and quieter than breaking in, fidling with wires and hoping it drives away. If you have a tow truck NO ONE thinks twice that illegal is happening. Watch a YouTube video of how fast an ordinary tow truck can remove a vehicle.
Best way to combat vehicle theft is a GPS based system that is well hidden and has it's own power source. The thief may still find it but at least you have a chance...
