AFR Eliminator #1040's!

These are new, and never installed on any motor. Last I checked Summit racing, and Summit is selling them for over $1700. I upgraded to the competition ports.

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...hTerm=afr+1040 (link to jegs).

$1485 plus shipping (taxes certain states).

On average this is what they flow:
.200 lift(intake/exhaust) AFR-143/113
.300 lift(intake/exhaust) AFR-199/161
.400 lift(intake/exhaust) AFR-246/195
.500 lift(intake/exhaust) AFR-276/214
.600 lift(intake/exhaust) AFR-286/218

You can PM or e-mail me if interested. Take care!

Re: AFR Eliminator #1040's!

if you guys weren't lazy enough to type in "AFR #1040" into google, you'd see its 65cc.. good lord.. i mean, he gives you the part number and all.. what else do you need?? a play by play??

sorry for the rudeness but their lazyness is just ridiculous.. good luck on the sale though.. if i needed 195's i would take them off your hands.. i'm in the market for 210's or 227's though.. after i get some money that is..

Yes, I was too lazy. Besides, my other 195s came with a 64 OR 68 CC chamber. I have a job bro.........

Re: AFR Eliminator #1040's!

a job has nothing to do with taking a minute of your time and searching..

i'm a full time student taking 18 credits with a part time job.. i have class from 9-3 and work from 4-8. my professor is out of town today so i have time.

but whatever, everyone has their answer now..

Re: AFR Eliminator #1040's!

All I know is when I sell, I include as much information as possible. 5678TA....you say I'm too lazy to take a minute to research? How long does it take to include the chamber volume in a description? So I asked. No one seems irritated about it except you. So buy the heads or shut up!!

Re: AFR Eliminator #1040's!

take it easy dude.. all i'm saying is that the part number gives you EVERYTHING.. a mere minute of your own time will give you ALL the info on the heads.. from valve springs, to gasket numbers.. i'm sorry if i offended you and/or others, but i just like to do my homework if i'm interested in something..

you are not helping his sale by treating everyone that replies like trash. i agree that it would be helpful to include all the info, it would only help his sale. now get back on topic.

hope you sell, i am looking for 210cc so good luck

Re: AFR Eliminator #1040's!

I have received a few pm's in regards to cfm #'s. This was cut and pasted form one of my threads.

Trickflow-195cc (194cc as tested), 62cc, 2.02/1.60

Intake

.200 138 cfm
.300 190 cfm
.400 230 cfm
.500 253 cfm
.600 260 cfm

.200 98 cfm
.300 130 cfm
.400 156 cfm
.500 174 cfm
.600 188 cfm

Street Ports. AFR-195cc (195cc as tested), 65cc, 2.05/1.60

Intake

.200 143 cfm
.300 199 cfm
.400 246 cfm
.500 276 cfm
.600 286 cfm

Exhaust

.200 113 cfm
.300 161 cfm
.400 195 cfm
.500 214 cfm
.600 218 cfm

Competition Ports. AFR-195cc(196cc as tested), 65cc, 2.08/1.60

Intake

.200 153 cfm
.300 210 cfm
.400 257 cfm
.500 287 cfm
.600 303 cfm (wow!)

Exhaust

.200 124 cfm
.300 170 cfm
.400 205 cfm
.500 227 cfm
.600 235 cfm (wow!)

As you can tell, I am somewhat **** with cylinder heads. My original attention was to build a 350 hence the TFS heads, then it changed to a 383 hence the street ports, then I went with a 421 (motor is built) hence the comp ports.

AFR's typically flow a tad more then advertised.

Re: AFR Eliminator #1040's!

I am interested. Do these heads have the optionel valve springs? Are they new or have they been installed?

I would like replace my Trick Flows with a better set of heads, and also install a larger cam. The current .509 lift cam wiped out the valve springs on the TF's right away. Short block is a stock ZZ4.

Tell me excactly what you have, I can do the research. Have cash in hand.

Like I mentioned before, these heads are new! The heads mentioned are part #1040, and the springs are good to .600 lift.

I am sure they will out perform your trickflows.

Contact gorski123 if you wish. He has purchased a set.

If you are serious send me a PM. Way 2 many tire kickers on this site.

Re: AFR Eliminator #1040's!

Just received the heads today. Holy **** these things are amazing to look at! They were shipped directly to me from AFR. They are brand new from the factory.

I contacted 88BlackZ-51 and he forwarded me to his engine builder, tpi421vette (Jim).

Jim is a great guy! He was amazing to deal with. He followed up with AFR to make sure that everything was going along as it should. I would highly recommend him. If anyone is looking for a set of these heads, this is the guy to get them through. I saved quite a bit going this way, as opposed to ordering them from summit or jegs.

Thanks again for the great deal!

I also have a set of 180's for $1249 plus shipping, and another set of 195's for the same price.

I can't think of another cylinder head for the price that would outgun these....

Buy from this guy! I was looking to buy the same heads from Summit for much more but saved lots of money by going through him.

If you want AFR's, you will not be sorry by going through Rick!

Everything is legit. You get a receipt from AFR confirming your order and a tracking number.

You will not be sorry!

Re: AFR Eliminator #1040's!

Just got my heads today, they look great. Rick and tpi421vette (Jim) are good guys to deal with. I would encourage anyone considering new heads to consider these, the prices are great and AFR quality speaks for itself. I was looking at some Edelbrock E-tec's and RHS Vortecs but by the time you get good springs, etc, the price get's pretty close to these. I am glad i spent the extra money and got these.
