1995 Z28 T56

I bought a 95 z28 recently and it has a bit of a knock going on. I think I want to move to a different car so if I can sell the T56 and its associated parts for a decent price I'll be parting out the whole thing.

T tops are perfect, tinted, have shades that can be put in, and don't leak even in monsoons. Has the things in the back that you lock then into when you remove them.

Body could use paint. Near the right front turn signal is a crack that's not all that bad honestly.

Wheels are in pretty good shape, have all the center caps in good shape.

Dash is absolutely worthless and cracked to a million pieces. Has a rubber cover over it.

5.7L LT1 has BBK headers and EGR delete. AC components need replaced. Blows air but the compressor and hoses are shot.

Driver side seat has a little rip/rub spot on the left wing. Passenger seat has rub spots on the seat but no rips if I remember right. Back seats in good condition as well.

Everything else in good shape.

Like I said in the beginning I'm only parting out if the T56 sells first soon. Otherwise I'll probably make the LT1 a 383.

Thanks for looking.

(interested in trades for mazdaspeed6, wrx, and possibly rx8. I can put cash on top for the first two but for an rx8 I would just straight swap but I'm iffy on the rx8.)

I'm in Clearwater Florida. For the transmission, pedals, Hurst shifter, clutch, etc. $2,800 because I'll have to pull it. I'll let the whole thing go for $3,500. All of the interior is there and in good shape unless otherwise noted. Leather seats, Bluetooth radio with a speaker that hooks to the sun shade for phone calls. Rear seats are in fantastic shape.

In my area you can get the complete T56 setup for $1500.
I do live in a pretty large, highly populated area though.

I feel like Clearwater is a decent sized city surrounded by other decent sized cities I.e. Tampa, st Pete, Orland, etc. and if I wasn't too get just a t56 trans the cheapest I've seen is about $2,500 but usually they're a bit more. T56 plus an engine runs $5k+

Re: 1995 Z28 T56

The rebuilt T56 is $2250, with a $600 receipt. The $2800 complete kit is from Hawks, which tends to have higher prices. There will be a balance between what you want, and what someone is willing to pay. GLWS.

ETA, the Hawks auction says LT1, but the image is a LS1 T56.

Re: 1995 Z28 T56

Gotcha. Well I'm open to offers. If the transmission and everything that goes with it would only bring $1,500 then I'd want to sell the whole car as opposed to pulling the transmission and everything.

Re: 1995 Z28 T56

Anyone interested in the whole car for $2,400? Figured I could make some money on the tranny but I guess it's worth less than I thought

Re: 1995 Z28 T56

Price is way to too high on a used trans with 116K miles on it. $1500 tops.

I can buy a complete LS1 and T56 for less tan your asking price.

Re: 1995 Z28 T56

If anybody knows of any deals like that let me know because I'd be excited to buy whatever they find me. The cheapest ls1 and t56 sets around here are around $5k. Just one or three other on its own goes for around $2-3K

Re: 1995 Z28 T56

I dont like to do this to an ad but since you asked..

around here WI/IL the 97-99 ls1 is a 800-1500 eng. 2001-2001 usually go for a little more. last ls1 i picked up for 300.00 but that was from a 98 corvette didnt need it but i couldn't pass up the deal and it was a runner. the last t56 was 900.00 but had to buy the bell housing for another 100.00 these prices tend to sell in a few days sometimes in the same day.. typical is 1500.00

with that said there are plenty of people who certainly try for much more and they sit and sit and do not sell. eventually they pop up on craigslist off and on with the same pictures same location until the price drops

Re: 1995 Z28 T56

That's really not what I was looking for at all. I want to buy an ls1 t56 set and was hoping somebody knew where one is for sale right now that I could buy. I have not personally seen or heard of anything like you or anyone else had posted so far. saying you can get them so cheaply without any actual references to current listings isn't helping :/
