Complete sumped fuel system, tank, pump, pre filter and pump mount
Selling my complete fuel system. I swapped back to stock and stock style exhaust since Its a full street car now. This was on my 1987 formula 350 which had a 521 BBF and a supercharged LS 5.3 and only ran 1 pump for 150 miles.
Stock 1987 tank with working sender, no rust, CE sump TIG welded and no leaks. Sump has 1/2" NPT fitting holes. Tank has a -10AN return bung welded at the top pass side of the tank for the return line. I ran -10 return with a 90* fitting and it cleared exhaust and fit right up near the frame rail. Its the perfect setup for a high HP car, or a boosted car thats driven on the street and needs the 2nd pump when in boost. Tank doesn't leak at all anywere and it was POR15'd. Stock sender and lines still installed.
Fuel pump is a holley dominator twin pump 12-1400 which is good for 1400hp (EFI and Carb pressures) and compatible with e85 I believe. Twin pumps means you can have one for the street and the second for boost activation, less pump means less heat introduced to the fuel and the pump is very very quiet... quieter than a stock pump actually. Fuel pump is attached with aeromotive anti vibration mounts to a custom steel bracket that bolts to the frame rail.
Between the sumped tank and the pump is an aeromotive 100 micron pre filter with built in fuel shutoff ball valve for filter maintenance or pump swap. I used this a few times and it worked great, no fuel leakage with a full tank. From the tank to the pump is all -10an line/fittings. All fittings are high flow and you can't see anything from the back of the car, nothing hangs that low... its all tucked up nice.
The whole kit mounts up like stock and fits with no modifications.
Actual costs
Stock tank and bung and sump = $100
Pre filter = $207
Holley 12-1400 pump = $340
Total = $647 not including $100 in fittings, pump vibration isolators etc
$500 and its yours. Can't ship the tank. Just want it gone since I won't need it anymore. This is the only pic I have at work to point out everything. Can try to find better pics or snap some of the actual parts individually. Located in 07052 NJ.
