NOS 1983-85 Z-28/Trans Am Exhaust & Crossover Pipes !!
Up for grabs is an INCREDIBLY RARE RPO Code L69 NOS Exhaust Pipe and Crossover Pipe Set !!!
This is a genuine NOS cross-over pipe and intermediate pipe set for a 1983-85 Camaro/Firebird equipped with 305 H.O. code "L69" engine.

THIS IS THE REAL THING !!
All open ends were still sealed with the original foam protectors before removal for photos.
Pipes are mandrel bent, not the "accordion" wavy surface typical of aftermarket. Note the genuine fabricated hanger hook on the I-Pipe, which is typically a bent wire on aftermarket pipes.
Though both were in fantastic condition when found, the carbon steel 2 and 4-bolt flanges had light-to-moderate surface rust which was carefully removed WITHOUT use of power tools or abrasives. The pipes themselves were lightly cleaned using S.o.S pads. Buyer can decide if additional rust removal is necessary at the flange connections.
The flange end of the I-Pipe was wrapped in a newspaper date July 1984, so I conclude these were purchased at that time and were sitting for 32 years! (I'll provide newspaper if you want it
) The paper had gotten damp, so there a few spots behind the flange where the aluminized coating was compromised, but nothing serious as you can see.
These are NOS parts and as such they are not perfect! NOS parts seldom are....these have the same normal imperfections seen on regular factory parts from that era. PLEASE REVIEW THE PHOTOS. If you require additional photos, let me know.
APPLICATIONS: According to a local GM dealer, Y-Pipe 14065746 is long discontinued and not superseded by a newer P/N. I-Pipe 14082817 is also discontinued, but was superseded in mid-80s by a newer P/N 14086840. Based on the June 1988 GM F-Body Parts & Illustration Catalog shown in pics 11 and 12, these parts are correct for 1983-1985 L69 305G applications (305 H.O....the carbureted engine pre-dating the later 1985-92 tuned port engine). Also, 14086840 was used in 1985 5.0F (LB9, Tuned Port Injection). HOWEVER, I make no claim or guarantee about the accuracy of this information....please do your research, call GM dealer, the AC-Delco help line or the GM Heritage center to make sure these are correct / will work for your specific application !!
