Flywheel for V6

Doing a AT to manual conversion and I need a good flywheel. (V6 car)

I'm in PA but small enough that shipping isn't an issue.

Thanks guys

PS if anyone had a new or like new clutch and pressure plate setup they didn't end up using I'm up for that as well...

Re: Flywheel for V6

Where in PA? I'm near Boyertown. I have a lead on an 85 Firebird v6 manual trans car that was wrecked. If you are interested let me know, I'd consider buying it to part out like I've been debating all these years lol. Thanks!

Re: Flywheel for V6

I converted an 87 2.8 manual to a 91 3.1 and had to get a different flywheel. Not compatible because of Internal vs. external balance IIRC.

Might want to check into the proper year range applicable for the 3.1 flywheel.......

Re: Flywheel for V6

Wouldn't have guessed that!

It is a '90 3.1 engine that it will be sitting behind!

Re: Flywheel for V6

I'm sure you checked,.... you should double check;

From another thread on this topic:

As I've posted before, and others before me, the V6 went to INternal balance in 88, so 88-9 2.8s and all 3.1s and 3.4s are internally balanced.
I don't write wanted adds unless I NEED something:

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/engi...-flywheel.html
I re-used the Flywheel from the original 87 MPFI when I swapped the 3.1 in it's place. Everything else from the 3.1 swapped without a problem !! Boy; does that engine vibrate when the wrong flywheel is installed !!

The 3.1 Flywheel has a neutral balance. it's the same flywheel from the 91 3.1 to the 94 3.4 from what I've read.

Since writing this message I have picked up a 3.4 V6 Flywheel,....... Thanx for the reply !!

Unless some odd miracle happens I probably wont have a 90-94 parts car by the weekend. I could possibly get you a new GM one though or check with one of the other parts guys I work with to see if they could get one. If you are interested shoot me an email with your # my email is wwe442@aim.com. Might be able to work some sort of magic for you but no guarantees.
