ENGINE SWAP TO A 1075 HP. 615 CI. BB ALL MOTOR
JUST YOUR BASIC EVERYDAY ALL ALUMINUM 615 CI. TALL DECK POWERED 92 CAMARO SET UP TO RUN IN THE 8.5 OUTLAW CLASSES.
I really am getting close to running instead of just wanting to be. Still need to paint the hood and bumper covers, make up a couple of hoses, bleed the brakes down and trim the dash pad in to fit around the roll bars, add the door seals and door panels. Got some finish up and set up work underneath as well.
Special Thanks to my good friend Vernon House of " Vern House Race Cars " for all his nice cage and chassis work, He is one of those people who's work is worth more than he is willing to charge you for, as such he is a great supporter of Heads up Sportsman Drag Racing and is responsible for a lot of peoples race cars being nicer than they could afford to pay for most other places......

Been nearly living in the shop for 90 days now and had forgot about signing up here a while back, followed a link to the engine swap area and thought someone would like to see what I am working on.

I will host a few more on picture trail and post up in a few minutes from this winters tear down at the lowest point.
Amazing what a guy can build in a 1000 hours in the garage. I bought it last September to do exactly this and never waivered from the original plan. Took about 3 months off due to burn out but real steady the last 10 weeks finishing up as the engine was getting done real late to the original schedule.

Sure it is made by Racepak, they sell profesional level data logging system for the racing industry. This one is driven off of the head unit for the data logging system in the car but you can buy it in a more conventional dash in a pro street form

That's quite some wishbone system. Looks like the car has been converted to a mostly tube chassis car. I need a tranny/driveshaft tunnel like that. I also want a front mounted distributor like that.

I took out the two seat crossmembers after that early picture, It is a all chrome moly double frame rail from the firewall back and still carries the factory rear frame rails, upper spring and shock mounts and the lower control arm mounts. I built it to be as universal as possible for small tire racing and still ultra easy to convert to a big tire car in about two weekends. It's purpose in life is to beat up on Mustangs in a class they think they own, should be a real heart breaker if it will run the #. needs to go 5.60 in the 1/8 @ 126 to stay ahead of the competition. Will do it easy if I am smart enough to make it happen. Don't get me wrong I love Mustangs have had 5 over the years, but I just wanted a big block all motor combo and I had a bunch of these cars over the years they were coming out as new cars and they are my favorites of those suitable for this kind of racing.
