NAPA engines
Okay my engine in my 90 firebird is pretty much dead, and im looking into getting a new engine into before i sell it, i want to get a 350 in it, right now it has the 3.1L I know all the work that has to be done to switching a V6 to V8, but i was looking around at my local NAPA and they got 350's or a 1 350 for $900, now i was looking at that or a Vortec 350 330hp version, I mean is NAPA reliable i know Autozone are schysty, but could i count on this engine since it would be cheaper than the Vortec even though I drool after the Vortec.

A rebuilt engine is just that! "rebuilt" the standards for production rebuilding are the same from Reccon "autozone&advanced" as Marshal "Nappa". A rebuilt engine from a parts store is a gamble because the builders are not as through as a mechanic would be. major engine rebuilders dont care, basicly if your engine blows up they will send you another at almost no cost to them.
Yea you can get a rebuilt from nappa or azone but thier bascily the same. If you want a reliable engine keep that 900$ and save 600 more and get a gmcrate engine.
