L05 383 to carb
Right now i am running a 383 with tbi as follows
C.r. is at about 9.5
- Stock heads (with better springs , I want to p&p , as i cannot afford new ones)
-comp cams 252xfi cam
-stock intake
- stock throttle body (with afpr )
-stock tune
* Also using a t-5 tranny
I just cannot get it to run right and i dont have the time to tune .
I plan to get
- Holley 6210 dp 650cfm
-Edelbrock performer intake
- New distributor (vacuum advance)
What I am wondering is should i keep the cam ? As it was designed for these heads or go bigger ?
Will I gain any power by switching to carb ?
Estimates ?
Im looking for any advice i can get .

The stock TBI intake, TB, and tune can't possibly handle a 383. So, the carb very likely would give it more power.
