This looks like a really good deal to me, just wondering if I should get it or not. I need some advice so check it out and let me know ASAP. Thanks

I also found this one but it comes with a transmission too! I really just want to know if these are compatible with my firebird and if they are good deals or not. I want a faster set up then just the 305 tbi I have now.

Re: 350 motor for $500?!
My opinion is its tough to say. Are the motors stock or do have they had any work done to them e.g. bore, heads, valves, etc. The ad for the 350 without the trans says new rings and bearings, but you really don't know the shape of the engine. I wonder if you could do a compression, or leak down test to see if the internal shape of the motor is OK.
Plus you don't know what compression ratio, cam specs, or other technical info.
If you just need something to move the car when you press the gas, then maybe the $500 motor is worth looking into, but it's a risk you take. Just my $.02

If you want to keep it as cheap as possible make sure to get a 350 with a single piece rear main seal. Can't tell if either of those are.
PS: what does this thread have to do with superchargers/turbos/nitrous. That is what the "Power Adder" section is for.

I know, I didn't mean to post this in the "power adder" threads, but if you think about it, getting a bigger and better motor IS a power adder.

hey just a heads up be mad careful when its "rebuild" unless they got receipts i bought a 400$ 350 motor .30 over mild cam with heads and apparent rebuild on it well there was a mild cam in it and was .30 over and the heads were good started right up every time but the dam thing had no oil pressure took it apart and sent it to a machine shop my crank was so bad the shop wouldnt even take it as a core..
im not trying to scare you out of it just real careful about the bearings other then that its pretty easy to replace cam rings and heads but bearings i never done and only takes a few thousands of an inch to not make it correct.
that was just my experience since then i bought a crate 350 from summit the 290hp wit 320 tq runs awesome it was 2k... my 400$ 350 is under my steps in the garage awaiting its realll rebuild but oh well now i get to play with bearings now i guess.
