Turbo 3.8 into an 88 GTA

I want to know what is involved with putting a turbo 3.8 into a 3rd gen. Im not familiar with these motors at all so any info would be helpful.
Thanks

Not much to it, you will need FWD TTA heads to run AC, or a non-AC delete box to run standard GN heads. The engine will bolt to your 700R4 (if auto) with an adapter plate, just get your hands on a higher stall speed if you can before doing so. I would recommend a Front Mount Intercooler while ditching the stocker, a better fuel pump, as well as the SFI-6 from Dynamic EFI controlling your fueling and spark needs. Other than that, it's an essentially easy swap...

When you say fwd TTA heads does that mean any heads from a fwd 3800 car will work? I really know nothing about the Buick V6.

Transverse FWD 3.8L heads were used by PAS, but this will increase compression substantially if your installing a 3.8 engine from a Grand National, so different pistons will be needed. PAS took care of all that for the TTA before they left the factory, but if your looking to do it yourself in a 3rd gen using a Grand National engine, then either swap heads and pistons or simply give up the AC and run the Grand National heads...
