should be the same as any other lsx. idk about trailblazer specifics but dont let the sticky's scare you, theyre from like 2007 and its alot easier than the reading material makes it out to be. i was hesitant and did all the wiring myself and sent out the computer (used lt1swap.com guides) and all went smooth. very time consuming but smooth. idk about the 4x4 trans but good luck and just dive in its worth every penny. i did my entire swap for under a grand! including the engine.

Bought an 02 sierra for $1200. Only 95k. Running and driving with fuel leak and bad frame. (Upstate ny for ya) parted it out for over $1500, kept the engine. Wheels tires and interior for my truck. Free engine. Bought all the swap parts( brackets, mounts exhaust manifolds etc..) did all the wiring myself. Flash ecu $75 bucks. Realistically only had about 6-700$ into the swap but i bought alot of things i couldnt use and i had to put a new power steering pump and alternator on it. The truck stuff all fits accessories and all, they were just bad on mine.

If you have 3k to spend on a swap, do yourself a favor and buy a 5.3l and throw a cam and heads and ls1 intake, injectors etc... Its the same thing and youll end up with alot more power for less money or around the same

In a nut shell you can only use the long block with the stock hood. Grab a Fbody pan kit, Fbody, Ybody, GTO, CTS-V or 5th gen camaro FEAD. Fbody manifolds or some form of 3rd gen specific header. Car style intake LS1/2/6/aftermarket
Any 95-07 4L60E will work. You dont have to change the tailhousing if you use a tunnel/chassis mounted TA. Non-LSx 4L60E's have a shorter converter so an adapter is required ($50). The electronics are the same inside all 4L60Es for the year range. GEN IV ECMs cannot control an automatic trans directly so an external T42 module is required
Just me, but L92 and other truck 6.2L engines are all roughly the same price as a TBSS LS2, but are larger displacement and have better rect port heads. Better bang for you buck IMHO. Im also a huge blower fan and they work nicely with the super common LSA take-offs
