A few Images of My 383 & T56 Swap.
Greetings TGO!
It's been many years since I've posted here, but I wanted to show my work on the Camaro. All this work was done with the information from this forum. I had many many many issues that were solved by simply reading through all the posts on here from over the years.
Vortec 383 with the LT1 T56 (the complete T56 came with crossmember, torque arm, pedals, hurst shifter & SPEC stage 4 clutch & pressure plate for $1000!)
Everything assembled.
Under carriage view.
Octopus Plug Wires.
AFPR Setup.
Bought new house. Janelle finally has a home.
Taken last night.
Almost finished. Few more parts are on the way. <br/>The serpentine routing was done according to a (super ultra snazzy belt routing) thread from a few years ago.
This weekend will be the first test run with all the new gear!
Thanks for the headaches that everyone had to go through so i didn't have to!!!
Wonderful tool!
Kyle

Got everything together on Friday, Took it out for a spin this weekend. Other than the temp reading a little high, I had no issues.

Just a note for you, that fuel line from the regulator across to the engine appears in the photo to be a fire hazard just waiting for a little heat from the hedder and the movement of the engine to melt the car down. It looks neat, but I would use several more inches of hose routed differently.

Re: A few Images of My 383 & T56 Swap.
You are right, it appears that way. But, it's not. It's pretty similar to the stock routing actually. That hose goes all the way to the carb with no hard attachments to the engine. Around 3ft of SS hose was used. A 90° fitting was used by the valve cover, which gives it the look of it being tight.
Unless it's a failure of quality, there won't be any issues.
