2055's and Summit oil pan don't play nice

Hit a little snag concerning my exhaust reconnect with my new Hi-Po 355 build. I went with a summit oil pan package and didn't account for the straight front panel on the new pan. There was absolutley no way to get my existing Hooker y-pipe back in. So I took the easy way out for now. I really want to get up and running by 4th July and didn't feel like pulling pan and dealing with that. Anyone think this will hold me back horsepower wise? Lotta people seem to think my setup is good for 420-450 HP.

nice work, but Yes I would say its going to hinder flow. Id say when you get a chance pull the pan and do what you did with the y pipe to the pan.

Or order a extra pan to clearance so you have Min. down time. If thats deff. the pan you want to run.

Nice welding! you might also want to glue some header wrap to the front of your pan to keep the heat transfer down from the exhaust being so close.

Great tip!! I think I have some of that peel and stick reflective tape laying around. I'll try that.
