Do you need a different chip when you install headers ?
I am sure this has been asked before but I have seen that a chip change is only needed when the cam or somethig like that is changed and then that it needs to be done because of air flow and back preasure and then that it does not need to be changed. I am not sure but I don"t think torque or gas mileage could be a big issue with a 305 tbi. I am not going to change the cam or do anything else. I just want to add headers with a y pipe and exhaust to the rear bumper. I am not going to use a cat converter.I am not sure if I will use 3 inch or smaller pipe. If back preasure is a issue then I will use smaller.I would like to know if this can be done with out messing with the chip.If I do need a chip where would a good place be to get one? I seen different places mentioned but alot of the posts where years old and things do change. If someone might help with these questions that would be great. Thank you for your time

If you're stock, or close to it. You do not need a chip/tune. Go with the 3" exhaust.
