long tube headers
Hi all I'm new to all this so if you could help it would be great.I have an 86 camaro I'm building with 362 sbc and a turbo 350 trans the car is going to be mainly strip but will see some street my question is I'm looking for some long tube headers to fit I've looked on eBay and found some that come with a Y pipe but I don't need the Y pipe I plan on dump the exhaust in front of the rear tire or maybe behind the front I'm on a vary strict budget so if anyone could shed some light on it would be greatly appreciated

Re: long tube headers
Hedman long tubes are cheap and tuck up tight to the floor... you need to make a full custom exhaust for them.. i made a system this spring behind the Hedmans that have been in the car since 2012 with a 3" X pipe with 2.5" pipes after that going straight to a set of Flowmaster 4 series Delta Flows... it sounds mean, but refined... ground clearance kind of sucks, but you can get trans crossmembers that allow you to gain a couple of inches of precious ground clearance by tucking the pipes up tighter to the floor. trying to figure out if i want to modify the floor to tuck it all up tighter and kaybe get some tailpipes on it..
