Re: Fs/FT klearz tail lights
A while ago a company made some lenses . For the tail lights for are cars since no one has made aftermarket ones . You use your housing and replace the lense with these .
I got all smoke but the reverse light .
It's tasteful, looks better than night shade or clear/black since the plastic is actually smoke than just a coating covering up amber and red .
So morning bump

what does assembly entail? I've never tore apart the tail light housings before.

Re: Fs/FT klearz tail lights
as far as I know, Stick the tail lights in oven for a couple mins on 125 or so to loosen up the oem silicone/glue or use a heat gun
Then once youhave the old tail light apart I would clean the insides( clean/maybe paint depending how bad they are. clean the channles that the new lenses sit on good and then use the silicon to glue the newlights togetherand to the tail light. whipe off exess wait for it to dry/cure and then reinstall new tail lights .
After crack open a beer and stand back and enjoy em.

Re: Fs/FT klearz tail lights
okay what i guess i am saying is that our bulbs are white, your brakes and tails are supposed to be red. so if they dont have a red tint to them your rear lights would not be red. so do the lenses have red tint on them or no?

The lenese are smoke with the clear reverse light.
There is no red in the tail light.
If you need a red bulb, get some red 2057's http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/380727436188?lpid=82
or if you like led's go with
https://digi-tails.com/1982-1992-che...l-light-panels
or
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/l...r,1157,21,195:
or use a sharpie.

Re: Fs/FT klearz tail lights
Assembly takes time but it's pretty easy. Just get a junkyard set of housings. Thats what I did. Got some junky tails of an 85 sport coupe or something. The lenses came off super easy, didnt even have to put them in the oven. They may seem warped as you try to install them, most of that is because the factory tails are warped and these are molded from factory tail lights. But with a heatgun you can get them pretty straight. I just used a hair dryer and they're way straighter than my factory tails. I used 1/4" pinstriping tape for the "Grid" but I'd use plastidip if I were to do it again. They made less than 100 of these.

Re: Fs/FT klearz tail lights
Can you lower the price a bit? If these were like $175 shipped to MA, I would buy them right now.
Current price just puts them out of reach in my eyes. If they were assembled, that would be a different story.

Re: Fs/FT klearz tail lights
Sorry budd, I will not take less than $225 + actual shipping.
I spent $277 on these. They are still brand new. They are nice and they do not make these anymore.

I understand, guess I just don't want them enough. Hope you find a buyer soon. If you ever want to unload them for a loss, to just get rid of them, PM me.

These are not hard to assemble either, on the first post there is a link to the instructions.

Re: Fs/FT klearz tail lights
My build is in its infancy, If I were further along and needed this as a final touch I am sure I would feel differently about the price.
Bump, maybe someone else out there is at that step.

Re: Fs/FT klearz tail lights
Dang Toxic. Lol. Free bump. I originated the order for these and still have mine as well, still uninstalled. Waiting for a new set of housings and to purchase my Spaghetti LED tail light kit for a completely new taillight setup.
Good luck man. I can't see getting rid of mine ever, even if they were to sit forever. I just like having that one part nobody can get anymore. Welp, good luck man. I'll throw word around my local area.

Re: Fs/FT klearz tail lights
I like the tail lights a ton and hesitate every time I bump this thread.Between these and the spaggatti's the tail lights would be wicked awsome. evermore so since no one else has em.
I just want my car on the road and if I sell these then I can be one step closer my cars been down for a couple years now, I blew the 700r4 and then been buying stuff for a t56 swap.
Dude it's good to hear from you and see you are still around! How ya been?!

What would you be looking for in terms of a trade? I most likely don't have what you want, but thought I would ask.
